Tips For Care!
Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.
- Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately after applying cleaner. Rinse and dry any overspray that lands on nearby surfaces.
- Do not allow cleaner to soak.
- Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring pad to clean surfaces.
Things to do!
Allow 24 hours for the finish to cure, at which point recaulking should be done if necessary.
Wipe your tub or shower dry after use for the first seven days.
Always protect the surface when any remodeling or the like is taking place around it.
Always use a cutting board and trivets (hot pads) to protect your new countertop surface.
Cleaning your new surface on a regular basis is recommended to insure its high gloss and good looks.
Things not to do!
Do not use your refinished fixture until any necessary caulking has been done and allowed to cure properly.
Do not use a bath mat w/ suction cups under any circumstance. If a non-suction cup type mat is used it must be removed after every use and must be approved in writing by TubFusioN/ASR Inc.
Never use a (Draino) type of pipe cleaner w/standing water in the fixture. It should be poured directly down the drain and splashing should be rinsed immediately.
Do not bath your pets in your new finished tub. Dog bathing would almost certainly scratch up your finish and void your warranty. And children’s toys should be monitored to insure only soft plastics, sponge and rubber toys are used.
Avoid the following from coming into contact with your new surface:
Hair dyes, liquid bandages, muriatic acid, food colorings, sharp objects, chemicals such as CLR, Lime-Away, The Works or anything else acidic or caustic.
Stick-on non-skids may be applied to your tub or shower bottom, but must be removed by a professional only! we would recommend a non-skid in the finish or a Surestep mat.
Cleaning Solution Suggestions:
For normal everyday cleaning we suggest the following:
Cleaning solution #1
- 1/2cup of Lysol or Mr. Clean
- 1 Tsp of dish soap
- 3 gallons of water.
Cleaning solution #2
- 2 cups of vinegar
- 2 Tsp of dish soap
- 2 quarts of water
In addition the following cleaners can be used:
- Dawn
- Gel Gloss
- Lysol tub and tile
- Ammonia free glass and surface cleaner
- Any cleaner that is said to be safe to use on acrylic per the manufacturer.
In extreme circumstances where the recommended cleaners do not work these cleaners may be used in moderation in small areas:
- Mr Clean magic eraser
Never Use the Following:
- Abrasive scouring pad
- Hard bristle brush
- Scrubbing Bubbles (or any cleaner that comes as a propellant)
- Ammonia cleaners
- Fantastic
- Tough Act
- Top Job
- Acetone
- Clean Shower
- Abrasives such as Comet, Ajax or Bar Keepers Friend
Warning: The use of these chemicals will cause a dull surface over a period of time and/or easily recognizable chemical cracks. Damages from the use of these chemicals will void your products warranty, so please try to stick to the guidelines above to ensure the lasting quality and beauty of your investment. Warranty,
-All residential finishes are covered by a 5 year limited warranty, 3 year on rental, this will cover surface failure, peeling, or flaking of the finish . Any claim resulting under warranty will be repaired with touch-up, spot repair or re-work as determined by TubFusioN/ASR Inc.—Chips, nicks and scratches are considered normal wear and tear from use and therefore not covered by the warranty.
-Caulking is not covered under this warranty
-All installation concerns need to be addressed at the completion of the work, before the technician leaves. If the decision maker is not present at the time of completion the technician will make the determination of satisfactory and are not part of the warranty. Callbacks after the completion of the work will incur additional travel expense and labor/materials.
– Use of liquid/gel drain cleaners will damage the surface and void warranty
-Leaking faucets will void the warranty
-Bathmats causing surface failure will void the warranty
– Improper cleaning methods will void the warranty
-Call backs on non-warranty items are subject to a labor and trip charge.
-Validity of any warranty claims will be determined as eligible or non-eligible at the sole discretion of TubFusioN/ASR Inc. upon inspection generally through pictures or video.
– This written warranty will supersede any claim of a verbal warranty
